New album release from Simon Chandler

‘Tu Hwnt i’r Afon’ (meaning ‘Beyond the River’) is a Welsh-language album of world music, encompassing Brazilian, jazz and folk styles. The evocative lyrics of the renowned poet, Aled Lewis Evans, are interwoven by the voice of Menna Collins into Simon Chandler’s diverse tapestry of music, ranging from guitar and vocal ballads to the exuberance of a full samba bateria, joining forces with double bass, a Welsh female voice choir and a string quartet.
