Manchester Duo PaZz Finally Release Debut Album After 16-Year Friendship
Focus Keyphrase: PaZz debut album, Manchester music, Seahouse Records
Meta Description: Manchester duo PaZz, who met backstage during the Buzzcocks' 2006 tour, finally release their long-awaited debut album "Nothing on the Custard" via Seahouse Records, with two more albums already in the pipeline.
Some collaborations are worth the wait. Manchester-based duo PaZz are living proof of this musical maxim, as they finally unveil their debut album "Nothing on the Custard" through North Manchester's Seahouse Records.
The pair's musical journey began in 2006 when they met backstage while working on the Buzzcocks' "Flat Pack Philosophy" tour. Despite an immediate creative connection, it would take a full 12 years before they began collaborating in earnest.
"Nothing on the Custard" has been a labor of patience. The album's lead single was recorded four years ago, making the full album release something of a triumph of persistence. As one band member jokes, "We're really getting our arses into gear now. Christ – we might even get round to playing it live one day."
This unhurried approach hasn't affected their productivity, though. Now firmly established in their North Manchester studio, PaZz already have a second album, "When The Internet Breaks," ready for release in early 2023. This will be swiftly followed by a remix album intriguingly titled "Not My Circus Not My Monkey."
PaZz's sound draws on the rich musical heritage of their North Manchester base, while bringing a fresh perspective that could only come from musicians who've taken their time to perfect their craft.
The debut album "Nothing on the Custard" showcases the duo's unique chemistry – a partnership that proves good things come to those who wait... and wait... and wait.
For fans of Manchester's vibrant music scene, PaZz's debut is available now through Seahouse Records' website and all major streaming platforms.
