Mark Docherty

Hailing from Barrow in Furness, Cumbria Mark Docherty has been writing music since the age of 11. Influenced by David Bowie Jack White and Prince he brings together these eclectic influences to create a unique sound all his own.

Since studying songwriting at Brighton Institute of Modern Music, Mark has led London based bands such as ‘party-rock pioneers’ Team New Band (like Talking Heads & Pixies taking steroids together), to the dark Dead Weather inspired Hari Debi.

Achievements from this include BBC Introducing support as well as headlining Archie’s Stage at YNOT festival.

After a relocation to Liverpool Mark is releasing his debut solo album Reckless Abandon due out 16th June 2023. Playing all the instruments, producing and mastering the 12 songs has been a labour of love and an interesting challenge. The triumphant first single Saying Goodbye has been described as ‘Sensational in all aspects’ -  ANR factory

Second single Pay My Debt was released on March 20th, with further singles No Saint and Reckless Abandon following. Mark's debut album Reckless Abandon was released through Seahouse Records in June 2023.

You can see more at Mark's own website too.
